HALF-WAY THERE!

Thank you so much to those who bought t-shirts from our t-shirt sale!  We also had some people give  very generous donations to the trip and we are so thankful! We are excited to announce that we have reached the half-way point!!! Chelsie made this "Christmas Tree'" for her church so people could sponsor the girls! Off to a good start!

To help raise money, the girls divided up into groups to each plan their own fundraiser.  Two groups held raffles for a "dinner for two" to local restaurants, other girls hosted garage sales and another group organized a game and sold cupcakes and other goodies.  They have really done a great job and raised about $500!  The total for the trip that we have raised is $4000.  Our goal would be to raised 10,000 by mid-January! Saddle Up Your Horses... We're Going to the South!

What: Trip with Dominican Varsity Volleyball Team to the United States

When: Trip Dates: March 28- April 13

Who:  13 Players, 2 Head Coaches, 1 Assistant Coach, 1 Chaperon 

Why: Now that all our previous varsity players have graduated, we would like to give the same opportunity to our new varsity players. Our goal is to provide these girls with a cross-cultural experience that will allow them to serve others, broaden their worldview and to play volleyball at a higher level.  As they are stretched out of their comfort zones, they will draw closer to their team and God.  Our hope is that this trip will be a catalyst that enables them to dream bigger for their own lives and discover their true calling.

On our adventure , the girls will:

·      Serve in an Hispanic community in Cleveland, TN.

·      Visit colleges and see opportunities for their future

·      Play volleyball games against local teams

·      Stay in home stays to experience the culture first-hand

·      Play in a big JVC volleyball tournament in Tampa, Fl
